Two ‘treasured’ teens dead & two others in hospital after horror Galway crash as school offers support to grieving pals

TWO teens have died after a horror car crash in ­Galway which has left two other youngsters in hospital.

Lucas Joyce and Kirsty Bohan, both aged 14, died in the collision at Pollacullaire, on the outskirts of Headford, Co Galway, early yesterday morning.

The accident happened at around 5.45am on a narrow stretch of road  just off the N84 Headford to ­Ballinrobe road.

rushed to the scene, where the boy was declared dead.

The two injured teenagers, a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, are both from Headford.

All four teenagers are students at Presentation College Headford and the school’s critical incident plan has been activated.

The school, which is shut for the Easter holidays, will open this week to offer support to the students’ friends and classmates.

A letter has been sent out to pupils and parents outlining the support available in the coming days.

It told them: “The school has experienced the sudden and tragic deaths of two treasured members of our PCH community.
