Tributes pour in for ‘beautiful’ Marcia Grant mowed down by her own car as boy, 12, arrested on suspicion of murder
A BOY of 12 has been questioned by police on suspicion of murder after a social worker was mowed down by her own car.
His alleged victim, named locally as Marcia Grant and in her 60s, was hit by the reversing vehicle on Wednesday night and died at the scene.
The boy, also suspected of carrying a blade, was arrested for her murder shortly afterwards.
Police sealed off the scene in the Greenhill area of Sheffield, Yorkshire, as forensic officers examined the silver Honda Accord.
Pictures from the scene show the car on the road with a black tarpaulin over the passenger window.
It appeared to have been reversed out of a driveway of a smart semi-detached home, with the victim thought to have been trapped under the rear of the vehicle.
