Horror as body is pulled from the sea at tourist beach hotspot

COPS have pulled a body from the sea at a popular tourist hotspot.

The horrific discovery was made on Wednesday in the waters near Blackpool Promenade.

Emergency services rushed to the scene following a report around midday.

The body of a man was recovered and he was sadly pronounced dead.

Cops say his death his not being treated as suspicious.

Blackpool Police said: “We were called around 12pm on Wednesday, April 5, to a report a body had been found in the sea off Blackpool Promenade.

“Emergency services attended the scene with the body of a man recovered from the water.

“He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner in due course.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this sad and difficult time.”
