Donald Trump in his own words as he admits he could be arrested

FORMER President Donald Trump has been charged with 37 felony counts for mishandling classified documents and his valet, Walt Nauta, faces an additional count of making false statements.

An indictment unsealed Friday also alleges that Trump described a Pentagon “plan of attack” and shared a classified map related to a military operation.

He allegedly brought the documents to his home in Florida without proper authorization - and will face the charges at a federal courthouse in Miami on Tuesday, according to his latest post on Truth Social.

Department of Justice Special Counsel Jack Smith addressed the public on Friday at 3pm ET.

The indictment comes after Trump announced he's running for president again in 2024 - meaning he'll be facing off against DeSantis.

    She said: "He is publicly intimidating a judge and pointing a spotlight on their family to his supporters - many of whom have admitted in court to committing violence in his name.

    "He knows what he’s doing."

    During his speech Trump said: "I have a Trump-hating judge with a Trump-hating family."

  • What happened in the courtroom?

    After a clerk read out the indictment number, 71543, at the New York hearing, the former President stayed seated and, in a throaty voice, declared: “Not guilty.”

    The proceedings lasted nearly an hour and prosecutors mentioned Trump had made "threatening posts" on social media.

    Judge Merchan gave Trump's lawyers until 8 August to file any motions.

    Before the hearing, Trump was fingerprinted and processed inside the courthouse — but he didn’t have his mugshot taken.

    Donald Trump’s lawyer, Timothy Parlatore told  that Judge Merchan can be tough.

    He stated: “I’ve tried a case in front of him before. He could be tough. I don’t think it’s necessarily going to be something that’s going to change his ability to evaluate the facts and the law in this case.”

    Parlatore added Merchan was “not easy” the last time he was in court.

    Following her legal battle against Donald Trump, West Hollywood honored Daniels by giving her the key to the city and naming May 23 “Stormy Daniels Day.”

  • Trump's attorney said it was 'not a good day'

    Following the historic arraignment, Trump's attorney Tacopina addressed the media outside the courthouse: "This was not a good day.

    "There's nothing the indictment itself. It is boilerplate. It doesn't allege any federal crime and the state crime that's been violated.

    "It doesn't allege what the false statement is, and it's really disappointing. It's sad, and we're going to fight it. We're going to fight it hard."

    Tacopina said that Trump was "upset" but is still motivated, and the moment will not "stop him" or "slow him down."

    Marjorie Taylor Greene was forced to leave the Trump arraignment demonstration after being overpowered by opposing demonstrators, per the .

    There appeared to be more reporters present during her turbulent arrival in New York on Tuesday than demonstrators.

    The New York Young Republicans, a group connected to troubled congressman George Santos who briefly attended the event before leaving after being surrounded by the media, joined Greene.

    Counterprotesters who intended to stage their own “emergency noise demo” to block out Greene’s “hate speech” also confronted her.

  • Judge warned Trump

    Donald Trump was released on his own recognizance and boarded his private jet back to , where addressed the public from his Mar-a-Lago resort.

    Judge Juan Merchan did not put a gag order on Trump but warned him not to post anything on  that could cause unrest.

    "Refrain from engaging in conduct which has the potential to incite violence or create civil unrest," Judge Merchan told Trump.

    "Don't engage in words or conduct which could jeopardize the rule of law as it applies to these proceedings in this courtroom."

    Donald Trump says that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is a "criminal" for allegedly leaking information about the charges against Trump.

    "For which he should be prosecuted - or, at a minimum, he should resign."
