‘Human bones’ found in woods as police launch investigation
POLICE have launched an investigation after possible human bones were found in a wooded area.
The shocking discovery was made near Cottingwood Lane in Morpeth, Northumberland.

Police were called to the wooded area just before 3pm yesterday and remain on the scene today.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Shortly before 3pm yesterday we received a report of potential human bones being found in a wooded area near Cottingwood Lane, Morpeth.
"Officers remain at the scene to carry out enquiries and an investigation has been launched into the discovery.
"Anyone with any concerns is advised to speak to an officer on duty."
