A LIST of the 50 'coolest' places to live in the UK has been revealed.
Locations across the country were ranked according to a number of factors including the number of independent shops, cultural events, and how 'Instagrammable' they were.
The Cornish village of Poperro bagged the top spot and was crowned the coolest place in the UK, according to the survey.
Coming in second place was Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk.
Marlow in Buckinghamshire secured third place, with Morecambe in Lancashire bagging fourth.
Liverpool's Baltic Triangle also made the list and was awarded fifth place.
Polperro is one of Cornwall’s prettiest villages and sits in a ravine with shops and restaurants clustered around the harbour.
There are steep climbs up and down the narrow streets, providing fantastic views of the Cornish coast.

The great scenery means it is a favourite artist hangout and lots of galleries show local work.
Polperro has been used several times as a film location and popular TV series such as the BBC’s Hairy Bikers and ITV’s Echo Beach have been shot there.
Wells-next-the-Sea, in second place, is famous for its stunning beach and colourful beach huts and the Oscar-winning movie Shakespeare In Love starring Gweneth Paltrow was filmed there.
Third place Marlow is famed for its beautiful location on The River Thames and the Star Wars-inspired Disney+ mini-series Obi-Wan Kenobi was shot there, as well as classic movies such as the James Bond film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
The results come from a new survey of 5,000 people from the health and fitness supplements brand Naturecan.
Naturecan set up panels throughout the UK to find out the coolest location for each county and big city and it monitored Instagram ‘likes’ for each location in the top 50.
Naturecan’s chief executive Andy Duckworth said: “Polperro in Cornwall is the coolest place to live in the UK, narrowly beating Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk in second place.
“All the 50 places on the list would have been worthy winners and show why the UK is such a beautiful place, loved by film makers and tourists from all over the world.
“What is interesting is how influential Instagram has become in boosting tourism in many of our top 50.
"It is a massive help for visitor numbers, too, if a popular film or TV show uses a town as a location.
"Hidden gems which are largely only visited by local tourists can find themselves being showcased throughout the world if they are pictured by the right influencer or featured in a movie."
