Skyscraper home to Donald Trump, Trump Tower, protected from the ground and the air following his win
A no-fly zone was imposed over the New York landmark, where Trump also works, soon after he beat Hillary Clinton
DONALD Trump’s skyscraper home — Trump Tower — has been protected against attack from the ground and the air following his election win.
A no-fly zone was imposed over the New York landmark, where Trump also works, soon after he beat Hillary Clinton.
Aircraft in a two-mile radius must keep at least 3,000ft above the 58-storey building, says the Federal Aviation Administration.
Military, police emergency and Secret Service flights are exempt.
The ban will remain until Trump enters the White House after his January inauguration.
At ground level, sand-filled trucks, concrete blocks and railings form a make-shift barrier against would-be attackers.
Armed members of the New York Police Department’s Counter-terrorism Bureau are standing watch outside the building.
People who live and work inside it are being vetted by the Secret Service.
Lift patterns will also be altered to stop visitors getting into billionaire Trump’s personal floors.

Trump was branded racist over the ban and has since been warned it may be impossible to implement.
Videos and speeches of him defending the policy, insisting it was about Americans’ “safety”, remain on his site.
