FANS of Toblerone reacted with choc-horror this week to news that its peaks were eroding.
We told readers how makers Mondelez blamed the rising cost of ingredients for their decision to stretch the space between triangular chunks.
The 170g bar now weighs just 150g and has a mere nine triangles compared to 11.
But if you prefer not to pay the same price for less chocolate, prepare to Tobler-your-own bar.
NICK PRITCHARD has put together this ten-step recipe to fill you up without emptying your pockets.

Ingredients
You will need the following ingredients: 170g of milk chocolate, 2 tablespoons of honey, a bar of nougat and a handful of almonds.
Step one
Make triangle moulds using thin cardboard. Cut slim strips roughly 1.5cm across. Tape the ends together to make a triangle shape.
Step two
Stick your triangles to a piece of cardboard and cover the edges with tin foil. Make sure there are no gaps for chocolate to leak through.
Step three
Finely chop the almonds. A tip is to lay the nuts flat on a board and run a knife through them several times until they are small enough.
Step four
Break up all the chocolate and put it in a suitable bowl to microwave on full power for one minute. Remove, stir and repeat until smooth.
Step five
Break up the nougat into really tiny chunks. This can be a sticky job so use a pair of scissors if needed. Add to the melted chocolate.
Step six
Next, it is time to add the chopped almonds to the mixture, along with the honey. Use a spoon to make sure the ingredients are well stirred.
Step seven
Now let your mixture cool slightly then spoon it into the triangular moulds. Use a palette knife to flatten the top of each piece so that they appear smooth.
Step eight
Pop the moulds into the fridge for an hour or so until the chocolate mixture has cooled and properly set.
Step nine
Remove from fridge and push all the chocolate out of the triangle moulds. Arrange in the shape of a Toblerone.
