Donald Trump’s son-in-law could be in line for plumb role at the White House after he is spotted chatting to Chief of Staff

Jared Kushner is married to the President-Elect's daughter Ivanka and played a key role in his campaign

DONALD Trump appears to already be lining up his nearest and dearest for some plumb roles in the White House after his son-in-law was seen taking a stroll with the current Chief of Staff.

While the President-Elect checked out his new home and met with President Obama on Thursday, Jared Kushner took in the grounds with Denis McDonough.

The role of Chief of Staff is to oversee the Executive Office of the President (EOP) and support the Leader of the Free World's agenda and work.

Kushner is married to Trump's daughter Ivanka, and was an integral part of the campaign.

According to CNN he did a "full stroll" of the South Lawn with McDonough.

Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus is also said to be in the running for the role of Chief of Staff.

Trump was joined by his wife for their visit to the White House - while the billionaire spent "close to an hour and a half" speaking with Obama, his wife Melania got a chance to chat to the First Lady, Michelle, and see a little more of their new home.

Mike Pence, who will be the Deputy when the Republican nominee takes power, was meeting with lawmakers at Capitol Hill.

Trump's campaign press secretary  Hope Hicks, met with the White House communications team.

During their time at the White House Melania and her husband also got a chance to meet with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan who took Donald's own phrase saying he was looking forward to them working together to "make America great again."
