‘SCHMOOZE HER BUT DON’T TOUCH!’

Nigel Farage makes shocking joke about Donald Trump groping Theresa May – as he brands Barack Obama a ‘loathsome creature’

Brexiteer says he will do all he can to help with the special relationship between the USA and Great Britain

NIGEL Farage has made a shocking joke about Donald Trump groping Theresa May when the President-elect meets the British Prime Minister.

Speaking about the new President's relationship with Britain, he told James Whale on : "I want him to make us his priority so I’m now going to become a diplomat. I’m going to say, 'come and schmooze Theresa, but don’t touch her for goodness sake'."

Farage  - whose joke comes after Trump's campaign was dogged with claims he had sexually assaulted countless women - added: “If it comes to it I could be there as the responsible adult to make sure everything’s OK."

And he said he would give Trump a lesson on British etiquette so he does not try and kiss her on the lips.

The interim Ukip leader is an admirer of Trump and gave speeches about Brexit alongside the Republican on the campaign trail.

He said Trump is much better for Britain than “loathsome creature” Barack Obama and this weekend he will be flying to the US where he is hoping to meet the President-elect and his team to talk about how to strengthen our "special relationship".

While President Obama said Britain would be at the back of the queue for a trade deal, Trump has said the opposite.

Farage said: "That Obama creature – a loathsome individual who couldn’t stand our country.

“He said we’d be at the back of the queue didn’t he.

“What was interesting is that Trump said we’d be at the front of the queue.

“However imperfect Donald Trump may be, and my goodness me he is, his mother was Scottish, he spends a lot of time in this country.

“He loves our country – what we stand for and our culture.

"This is a big opportunity for all British business because we can now do, once we’ve left that awful EU thing, we can now do our first trade deal with the United States of America. Isn’t that great."

There is talk of Farage becoming Trump's special adviser to Europe and although he said it would probably not happen he did not rule it out.

He said: "I don’t know. It’s a fantastic idea isn’t it – on the basis of total chaos and anarchy.

“Trump actually hates the EU even more than I do so it wouldn’t be a bad appointment but no, listen, it’s probably not going to happen is it.

“I’m not an American citizen. I did dip my toe into the presidential campaign. I spoke with Trump in Mississippi.

“I think the chances are pretty low but if I can do anything to try and make sure that Britain and America have the right relationship, which would be good for business and good for the world, I will do everything I can to make sure that happens.

Mrs May yesterday welcomed Mr Trump’s election, and said she was “looking forward” to working with him to make Britain and America’s special relationship stronger than ever.

Government sources last night claimed Mrs May was keen to meet Mr Trump for face-to-face talks at the “earliest opportunity”.

In a short statement, the PM said: “Britain and the United States have an enduring and special relationship based on the values of freedom, democracy and enterprise.

“We are and will remain strong and closer partners on trade, security and defence.

“I look forward to working with President-elect Donald Trump, building on these ties to ensure the security and prosperity of our nations in the years ahead.”

Number 10 said she had also written to the real estate mogul to congratulate him personally.

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and Chancellor Philip Hammond also welcomed Mr Trump – who lent his support to Brexit campaigners earlier this spring.

Mr Johnson said he was “much looking forward” to working with a man he ridiculed last year, when saying parts of New York were no-go zones as he might bump into him.

Last night there were clashes between protesters and police outside the US Embassy in London over Trump’s election.
