We live next to a football stadium but can never park our cars as fans take up all the space – it makes us so angry
FED UP neighbours of a football club say they can never park their cars because fans always nick their spaces.
Residents in Cleethorpes, near Grimsby, say the problems are so bad they are forced to devise parking tactics to kick back.
The battles for the bays on the road next to Grimsby Town FC's Blundell Park have got so fierce many don't bother leaving the house on matchday.
Mr Todd, a resident of 16 years on Constitutional Avenue, told : "We always get people parking outside our houses when they don't live down the street."
While Marlene Wilson revealed: "We often park our cars in a specific way, so that when one of the neighbours comes back we can create a space for them."
But she stressed most don't go anywhere when The Mariners are at home because it's a "guarantee" you'll lose your space.

Though losing your parking space is not the only challenge locals face.
Mr Todd revealed he's "lost two cars" thanks to dangerous drivers racing down the street and smashing up his car.
Litter is also a problem on matchday.
One anonymous resident blasted the food wrappers and cigarette butts that scatter their road after match day.

But despite problems that come with home fixtures, locals admit they love the buzz of chanting fans on game day.
And many have "no regrets" of living in the area, saying they have no plans to move.
But some on the street may consider others ways to reserve their parking spaces - such as using bags of rubble and cones.
Dennis Skipper, 71, has done just that, despite upsetting some residents of his street over the last decade.
He says its the only way to keep a space outside his house.
