Woman left fighting for life and three others hurt after Mercedes smashes into parked taxi in horror Sheffield crash
A WOMAN is fighting for her life after a Mercedes smashed into a parked taxi.
The horror crash happened on the A57 Sheffield Parkway at around 1.24am today.
It also left three other people needing hospital treatment.
The woman in her 20s remains in a critical condition.
Cops say the driver of the blue Mercedes GLA fled the scene before they arrived.
A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at 1.24am this morning (February 26) to reports of road traffic collision on the A57 Sheffield Parkway.

"Officers attended and it was found that collision had taken place between a blue Mercedes GLA and stationary taxi on the carriageway into the city.
"Four people were taken to hospital. A woman in her twenties remains in hospital in a critical condition.
"It is understood that the driver of the Mercedes fled the scene prior to police arrival. Enquiries are ongoing to locate them.
"The Parkway remained partly closed until around lunchtime while officers carried out their work but has now reopened."
