All-boys Islamic School is closed down for teaching ‘twisted’ ideology to its pupils who blamed GIRLS for poverty in Britain

A HARDLINE Islamic school taught its pupils "twisted ideologies" - blaming girls for poverty in the UK.
Darul Uloom School in Leicester was ordered to close by Ofsted after a year 10 pupil wrote the comment in a textbook - but went unchallenged.
Inspectors said pupils at the school in Leicester "held stereotypical views on the roles of men and women in the workplace" which were not challenged by teachers.
A spokesperson for the Department for Education said: "When we find schools promoting twisted ideologies or discrimination in classrooms, we will take action, including closing the school or working with the police as necessary."
Boys’ boarding school Darul Uloom was blasted after Ofsted claimed "pupils hold stereotypical views on gender and careers" and are not prepared for modern life.
Inspectors found the school, which has around 146 male pupils on roll aged from 11 years to 23, "unsafe, shabby and dirty".
Examples given included electrical wiring for a shower not being cased in, a filthy kitchen area with food debris on the floor and in an open drain, dirty and peeling paintwork, missing door handles and portable heaters covered in clothes.
The school is one of four Islamic schools in the UK ordered to close over extremism fears - including one that allegedly taught female pupils that marital rape was acceptable.
The four fee-paying schools in Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield were slammed for their extremist teaching methods.
But despite calls for the schools to be shut down by the Department for Education, they launched legal appeals and now the government is powerless to stop them.

They can now continue operating until a ruling is made - meaning the schools could stay open for years.
One - girls' boarding school Jamia al-Hudaa in Nottingham - was ordered to close by Ofsted after books in the library were found to have been written by people banned from entering the UK.
Pupils were also reportedly taught that they can be beaten and raped by their husbands in order to "make Allah happy".
One former pupil said: "We were not taught geography, history or music and in art we just did knitting. We were banned from drawing anything with eyes.
"There was no sex education and we were taught that evolution was a belief of devil worshippers and atheists. Most of our day was spent doing Islamic studies".

At Darul Uloom in Birmingham, inspectors discovered leaflets "containing highly concerning and extremist views".
The school has been allowed to remain open despite a preacher being filmed making racist remarks about Hindus and ranting that "disbelievers are the worst creatures".
And boys' boarding school Jamia al-Hudaa in Sheffield was also heavily criticised for limited teaching of other cultures and general lack of cleanliness.
Tory MP Philip Hollobone told the : "Readers will be shocked that there is a loophole that allows these schools to carry on as if nothing has happened."
The Department of Education has confirmed the schools registration has been revoked, adding: "Extremism has no place in our society and when we find schools promoting twisted ideologies or discrimination in classrooms, we will take action".
Jamia al-Hudaa in Sheffield and Darul Uloom in Leicester refused to comment.
Birmingham's Darul Uloom school said it disputes the Ofsted report.
While a spokesman for Jamia al-Hudaa in Nottingham claimed the school is a victim of a "highly politicised agenda".
Last month, a former student at the school Aliyah Saleem told how she was expelled for owning a disposable camera.
She said that the £3,500-a-year boarding school was teaching girls that men should be allowed to beat their wives and gay people should be killed.
