Two people charged with murder after woman, 49, found dead inside flat with serious head injuries

TWO people have been charged with murder after a woman was found dead in a flat with serious head injuries.

Sarah Brierly's body was discovered at a property in Sheffield, Yorkshire, at 8am on February 20.

Cops confirmed that they charged David Scott, 39, and Zoe Clarke, 38, both from Sheffield, with murder.

The pair will appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Sarah, 49, died of "serious head injuries", according to a post-mortem.

Detectives had previously arrested a 42-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman on the day that Sarah was discovered.

However, they have both since been released on bail.

South Yorkshire Police added that their investigation is "continuing at pace" and appealed for information.
