FIREFIGHTERS have been called to London Heathrow Airport this morning after receiving reports of a smoke being smelt on board a British Airways aircraft.
Reports emerged around 10.30am today that smoke had been detected on one of BA's jets.
However around half an hour later the airline said the fire brigade had only been called "as a precaution" to an aircraft which was undergoing "routine maintenance by engineers".
It is understood no customers or crew were on board at the time.
