GROWN men say they are scared to leave their homes on an estate where residents are attacked just for walking to their front gate.
Half-naked drug addicts, sex in alleyways and break ins are part of daily life for residents in Aston, Birmingham.

Despairing tenants say conditions are so bad they find themselves sweeping away needles just so kids don't have to witness the horrors.
One resident, too scared to give their name, said: "You can come home and see loads of people on the stairs.
"The drug takers are sometimes here with hardly any clothes on."
Dealing in broad daylight and conked out addicts are just the start of the issues for residents off Birchfield Road, in the Handsworth area.

Vile yobs even , one resident claimed, forcing residents to "wash it away ourselves".
The scourge is made worse by the fact there are no gates in the development, allowing undesirables like "ex-prisoners" to waltz in as they please.
To top it off, the block's electricity cupboard was recently crowbarred open allowing thieves to cut off the power and launch home invasions, .
"The women don’t come out of the house unless they have to, even to shop downstairs, they are frightened", a resident added.

And the 15 kids and their families that have remained in the troubled estate are so frightened they never play outside.
But ever since a savage attack which saw a man beaten and robbed - caught on camera - residents are more terrified than ever.
The brutal night-time assault, thought to have left the man unconscious, happened just metres away from a busy shopping area.
One man, a taxi driver, said the barbaric attack has "messed" with his head.
He added: "I finish at 2am and when I come home I am afraid to live here."
Residents are now pleading with councillors to end their hell while a petition urges Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Police to act.
Birmingham City Council says it is working with cops to consider proper enforcement and will continue to deal with any issues as appropriate.
