Before he vanished, Levi spoke about being blackmailed by criminals who threatened to kill him and his family.

Reports have speculated that the former professional rugby player may have drowned after being hunted by criminals over a £100,000 debt.

His desperate mum has now pleaded with him to come home before he turns 25 on March 12.

In a direct message to her son, she said: "We are all on your side."

Julie urged anyone with information about the disappearance of her son to contact their private investigator Gavin Burrows.

His Line of Inquiry firm is offering a £10,000 reward for information that could lead to Levi being found.

The investigator has said his team fears Levi may have drowned after being sought by criminals over a £100,000 debt.

This idea was strengthened by the Bath Rugby star's haunting final Instagram post, in which he claimed he was being blackmailed by criminals who threatened to kill him and his family.

In the video, Levi said: "My name is Levi Davis and my life is in danger. I beg that you listen and try to understand what I’m telling you."

Levi said he “went to the police and I asked them if they could help me” because “something was happening to me and wasn’t something good”.

But until his body has been found, Burrows said he has to keep open the possibility that Levi is alive and could even be in hiding.

“If he is alive we believe he could be in hiding, in an involuntary exile somewhere like a monastery, to protect himself from toxic individuals,"; he said.

Burrows has also urged cops probing Levi’s disappearance to arrest a friend accused of hindering the investigation.

After his time on X Factor he began to build a music career with a second single - Los Angeles - due to be released in November, for which publicity pictures were taken.

His friends say they were concerned about him before he left the UK.

It comes after his mum Julie sent a heartfelt message of support to Nicola Bulley's family, who was last seen close to the River Wyre in Lancashire on January 27 with her springer spaniel Willow.

Julie told : "I’ve been reading about Nicola’s case and there are a lot of similarities with Levi’s in terms of what we have had to cope with.

"My message to her family, to her partner, to her little girls would be this 'I know your pain but don’t give up'.

"At the moment hope is all we have. There’s so many questions and no answers. You don’t feel as though you can grieve when there is no body and so no confirmation that that person has gone.

"If I can be of any help to Nicola’s partner and family then all they need do is contact me and I’ll be happy to offer any assistance I can."

She added that she is better placed than most to know the "anguish" Nicola's family are going through given the striking similarities between the cases.

Julie explained: "I know with Levi it’s the not knowing that is the biggest cause of anguish. That’ll be the same with Nicola’s family.

"On top of that they’ve had the same sort of frustrations with what the police are doing and what they’re not doing and what people - many of them armchair detectives - are saying happened without one shred of evidence.

"That just makes it all so much worse and in Nicola’s case there’s young children to think about."
