Nicola Bulley’s dad reveals ‘every day is a struggle’ three weeks after mum vanishes

NICOLA Bulley's dad has revealed "every day is a struggle" three weeks to the day since the mum vanished.

Ernie Bulley, 73, today opened up about what life's been like since Nicola went missing on January 27.

Today marks the 22nd day since the mum-of-two was last seen, walking dog Willow in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire.

And her heartbroken father has now said he is hanging out for "a breakthrough".

The 73-year-old told : "Every day is a struggle.

"[We're] no further on from three weeks ago.

"[We] just need a breakthrough to give us some hope."

Nicola's sister Louise Cunningham also paid tribute online to mark the day.

Louise shared a photo of her and Nicola, with their mum Dot, 72, and wrote: "Three weeks without you home.

"We all miss you so much. Time to come home now."

In recent days the family left heartwrenching messages on the bridge near where Nicola vanished.

Ernie and Dot penned: "We pray every day for you. Love you, Mum and Dad xxx."

While Louise wrote: "Nikki, please come home. I love you, Lou xxx."

A dog walker also today opened up about the moment he found Nicola's phone on the bench on the day she vanished.

Meanwhile, Lancashire Police confirmed on Wednesday that Nicola was treated as a high risk missing person when she disappeared.

Officers revealed she had “vulnerabilities” - including “significant issues with alcohol” in the past that were brought on by her “ongoing struggles with the menopause”.

They also divulged they had been sent to Nicola's home on January 10 following a report of a concern for welfare.

The force has now come under fire for releasing the personal information and are facing an Independent Office for Police Conduct probe.

However, the family broke their silence yesterday and put out a statement revealing they had allowed the police to share such personal information.

They issued a statement from police - begging for the public to "focus on finding her".
