A MANAGING director lashed out at cops screaming "it's my f***ing car" when they pulled him over for doing 120mph in his flash Range Rover.
Edward Gormley, the boss of cabling firm GPH Datacoms in Hertfordshire - which counts Scotland Yard and the Home Office among its clients - has been banned from driving for two years.
The 55-year-old was clocked at 120mph by cops on the M1 who were taking part in an undercover operation targeting crooks stealing high-value cars.
When officers told him about the operation, the MD said: "It’s my f***ing car. It’s not nicked.”
St Albans Crown Court heard how when Gormley was handcuffed by cops - who smelled booze on his breath - he collapsed on the ground "thrashing around and kicking".
He was placed in leg restraints by officers, but he managed to kick one police officer, PC Ross Little, in the stomach and leg as he tried to escape the restraints.
Gormley, of Harpenden, Herts, denied dangerous driving and common assault but was convicted by a jury.
He was banned from driving for two years and ordered to carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work, pay £3,500 prosecution costs, a £500 fine and £500 compensation to the officer.

PC Lee Wilkinson told the court: "We were there because there had been several thefts of high powered vehicles in the area.
"We thought it may have been a recently stolen vehicle.”
Gormley repeatedly screamed at the officers after he was pulled over and told them to "f*** off" during the incident on August 28 last year.
Philip Levy, prosecuting, told the court that Gormley had refused to provide a breath sample - and was eventually tested eight hours later, with the test coming back negative.
Sentencing, Judge John Plumstead told Gormley: “You should be ashamed of yourself. Your behaviour was petty, ridiculous and overbearing.
"The police do difficult and dangerous work and must not be assaulted. They have to drag people out of wreckage, at risk to themselves.”
According to his LinkedIn page he has been Managing Director of GPH Datacoms for 18 years.
The GPH Datacoms website states: "GPH Datacoms Ltd are a major provider of infrastructure solutions to the Metropolitan Police force and with our team of security cleared personnel we are able to carry out works in some of the most security sensitive locations in the country."
