Tributes to ‘angel’ teen, 17, killed in horror crash as grieving family say ‘we’ll miss her each and every day’

THE family of a teen girl who died in a horror car crash have paid tribute to their "angel".

Lily-May Vaughan, 17, died following a collision on the A53 near Shawbury, Shropshire on February 4.

In a statement released by cops, the young girl's family said: "We are heartbroken following the incident and the loss of our angel Lily-May.

"She was a beautiful, kind, happy, caring and loving person who leaves behind a family that loves her dearly and who'll will miss her each and every day she is no longer with us."

They added that they were "still coming to terms" with the terrible loss and asked for privacy as investigations continue.

Police confirmed that Lily-May had died after a smash between a VW Golf and an Audi A3.

A 17-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital in serious condition.

PC Paul Glanville of West Mercia Police, speaking before Lily-May had been identified, said: "Our thoughts are with the families involved especially that of the young woman."
