Russia suffers deadliest week since start of Putin’s Ukraine invasion with ‘800 troops being slaughtered every day’
RUSSIA has suffered its deadliest week on the battlefield since the start of the war after Ukraine claimed to kill 800 soldiers every day.
Over the past two weeks, Russian forces have suffered the highest number of casualties since the first week of the invasion, in another humiliating blow for Vladimir Putin.
Data from the Ministry of Defence, released by the Ukrainian General Staff reveal the average number of casualties for the past week is 824 per day.
The number is over four times the rate of last year's June- July period which was 172 per day.
A graph by the Ukrainian General Staff shows that the highest number of losses was recorded at the beginning of the war last February with 1140 casualties every day.
The graph reveals how the number of Russian soldiers killed on the battlefield begins to rise in August and gradually increases throughout the year.

A statement from the MoD states: "The uptick in Russian casualties is likely due to a range of factors including lack of trained personnel, coordination, and resources across the front – this is exemplified in Vuhledar and Bakhmut."
Ukrainian fighters blitzed a total of 31 Russian tanks in Vuhledar on Saturday in the latest hit to Mad Vlad's men.
Footage captured by a drone shows a series of explosions as the Russian force is caught on a remote road.
A Moscow military channel reported that the 31 vehicles lost were from the 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade from the Russian Pacific Fleet.

It comes as fighting continues in the frontline in Donetsk with the fiercest battles taking place in the cities of Vuhledar and Maryinka.
Commander-in-chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, said Russia carries out some 50 attacks daily in Donetsk.
He said on a Telegram post: "Fierce fighting continues in the area of Vuhledar and Maryinka.
"We reliably hold the defence. In some areas of the front we have managed to regain previously lost positions and gained a foothold."
He added that Ukraine continues to hold Bakhmut, trying to "stabilise" the frontline around the town.
Meanwhile, the head of the Wagner mercenary group Yevgeny Prigozhin said on Sunday the group had taken control of the village of Krasna Hora right outside Bakhmut.
Gov. Serhii Lysak reported shelling in Nikopol in the southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region on Sunday while regional Gov. Oleh Syniehubov said three Russian S-300 missiles hit Kharkiv overnight.
Ukrainian forces also downed five drones four Shahed killer drones and one Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone over the partially occupied Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions on Saturday evening, Kyiv's military reported.
Russian attacks in Donbas come amid fears Putin is preparing for a new all-out offensive in the region to coincide with the first anniversary of the war on February 24.
