Turkish Red Crescent disaster response teams have set up mobile kitchens serving 1.7million people hot meals, and distributing 30,000 blankets and more than 2,000 tents to survivors sleeping outside in freezing temperatures.
They have also set up 300 blood donation points in the region and have specialists on the ground providing support for trauma.
