Chilling moment sex predator leads victim to horror attack before returning to club after savage assault

Rapist Rafael Tiso led vulnerable woman down lane after lying to venue staff in Dublin by saying he was 'a friend'

RAFAEL TISO LEADS HIS VICTIM OFF HARCOURT ST AND DOWN MONTAGUE LANE

THIS is the chilling moment a sex predator led his victim to a terrifying ordeal.

Our exclusive series of CCTV images shows rickshaw driver rapist Rafael Tiso, 31, placing an arm on the shoulder of a vulnerable woman before telling staff at Dicey’s nightclub in Dublin: “I’ll take care of her, I’m her friend.”

We told earlier this month how the depraved sex beast was sentenced to 14 years jail, one of which was suspended, after leaving the woman lying in a pool of blood following his brutal 40-minute attack on a night out.

Now footage reveals how Tiso was caught on camera collecting his coat from the club as his victim was escorted from the venue by concerned staff.

The Brazil native was later captured walking the 24-year-old woman, who had taken an ecstasy tablet and was under the influence of alcohol, down Montague Lane in the city.

The pervert was then seen grappling with the young woman. At one stage, she fell before the rapist casually picked her up.

The next snap image is of the monster walking alone along the lane after he had spent 40 minutes torturing the young woman.

During the ordeal, his victim suffered horrendous internal injuries and was left unconscious.

Gardai believe his victim’s life was saved after she was found by two Good Samaritans who saw her lying between two cars with blood pouring from her head and water flowing around her face from a drain.

She is now unable to give birth naturally and wears a colostomy bag because of the horrific injuries she suffered. Our images show how heartless Tiso returned to the club as his victim lay unconscious just yards away.

In one image, the pervert is shown walking through the club with his knees covered in dirt.

After he returned to the club, he groped six other women during a one and a half hour rampage before he was kicked by security staff.

A source said: “He left her lying in a pool of blood and her soaking in a drain. When she was found they thought she was dead.

“There’s no doubt this was a pre-meditated attack. He said he was taking care of her but within five minutes he was raping her.”

And , we can reveal how he was identified as the chief suspect within two days of the attack.

Tiso, who had stayed away from his own address after the rape, also had a flight booked to Krakow in Poland at the time of his arrest last January 26 — some eight days after his sickening crime.

And we can also reveal how the fiend — who will be deported from Ireland after his release — has since been attacked twice in prison by fellow lags.

One former pal said: “When he took alcohol he was a different person and was very strange when he talked about women. There was another occasion when he tried to get a room with another Brazilian but he wasn’t accepted because he was just a bit creepy.”

We also asked a pal of Tiso’s ex-girlfriend why she was still supporting him but he refused to make any comment.

The major investigation into the brutal sex attack was led by Detective Sergeant Mark Kavanagh, Detective Des Rodgers, Detective Sarah Barry, Garda Chris Fitzgerald and Garda Wayne Donnelly who were all under the command of Superintendent Joe Gannon.

Supt Gannon praised the two men who discovered the young woman lying in a pool of blood.

The senior officer said: “It’s clear advantage was taken of the victim to a dreadful depth and she was only spared the ultimate fate by the two caring individuals who found her. This case should be a stark reminder as we now enter the Christmas party season that those who go out together ensure that they come home together safely by not allowing anyone to stray from the flock.”

He added: “I hope the victim recovers somewhat from the physical and psychological trauma of this dreadful attack in time.

“I also want to acknowledge the tremendous investigative work of the investigation team led by Detective Sergeant Mark Kavanagh in bringing this individual to justice.”

In her moving victim impact statement to the court, Tiso’s victim told of her ongoing torment.

She said: “I feel paranoid and sometimes I fear this will affect my mental health and I will lose control of my mind.

“It’s a daily fight against myself, between going forward or making a martyr of myself. Sometimes I feel like I’m in a nightmare that I am unable to wake up from.

“I would like to delete that day of my life and never have to remember that night I was the vulnerable girl, the girl that I read stuff about in the newspaper many times or that I watch on the television.

“I never imagined that one day this could be me.

“I don’t have the same desires for life that I had before. I feel like I don’t make any sense.

“On January 18, 2016, something terrible happened to me. It looks like an episode of a horror series. The girl that just went out to have some fun nearly died.

“For now, I prefer to keep my feelings inside myself, but it’s like a bomb that can explode at any time even though I still prefer to live day by day.”

Judge Isobel Kennedy told Dublin’s Central Criminal Court: “The victim was discarded in a shocking condition and has suffered appalling damage.

“Her injuries are very physical but also emotional.”

Clíona Saidléar, head of Rape Crisis Network Ireland, said: “It’s important we’re all aware as bystanders to ask questions and not to leave people vulnerable.

“An image like this shows that even people who appear innocent or helpful may be sinister or may have a predatory motive.”
