A WOMAN has died in a horror blaze after fire fighters desperately try to rescue her from the flames.
Firefighters and emergency services rushed to the scene at 6.48am this morning to a flat in Grisedale Place in Chorley, Lancashire.
Brave firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
One woman was brought out of the property but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Three fire engines from Lancashire and Greater Manchester were called to the fire involving a flat on Grisedale Place, Chorley at 6.48 on Saturday morning.
"Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and hose reel to extinguish the fire.
"One female was brought out of the property by firefighters, but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.
"A fire investigation has now commenced."
