In the short clip, Nurset Gökçe is filmed putting an avocado through a peeling tool.

As he pushes the fruit through, slow motion is used for dramatic effect and is met with the Turkish chef saying "avocado".

However, it was said in a bizarre accent that left viewers confused.

Most people claimed he was putting on a Limerick accent.

"That's a Limerick city accent," a YouTube user said.

"I just saw this today and laughed," one said.

"In fairness, try and say 'avocado' without a Limerick accent," a second said.

"Works for me," another said.

Salt Bae's video was picked up by podcaster Blindboy, who further back up the claims posting on his Twitter: "Ammm…Why does Salt Bae say ‘Avacado’ in a Limerick accent."

A second video then emerged of the man doing a rendition of the accent.

Blindboy said: "Found a second video, can now confirm that Salt Bae says Avocado in a Limerick city accent.

"This is real."

Gökçe, who became internationally renowned for his pricey restaurants, regularly films himself performing various tasks in the kitchen.

But only as of late has his voice been discussed at length online.

In November 2022, the man shared a rare spoken video in which he said that his London restaurant was his "big dream".

It was also met with divided opinion, with some calling his voice "weird" and "cringe".

Salt Bae also came under fire after he posted a video of himself taking a bath with his sunglasses on.
