Meet the elite special forces fighting on the front line in Iraq, hell-bent on bringing oblivion to the jihadi thugs
MEET The Golden Division, a US-trained brigade of special forces soldiers fighting ISIS on the front line in Mosul.
These brave commandos are taking back the Iraqi city from jihadi militants whilst wearing terrifying skull masks.
Just this morning they took back six districts Mosul, ISIS's largest stronghold, breaking through the militant thug's defences and fighting them in the streets.
The elite fighters are part of Iraq's 1st Commando Battalion and have become local heroes as they front the offensive. They have the same training as a US Army Ranger and their commanders boast that each member is "worth a thousand" ISIS fighters.
Their success and terrifying appearance has granted them celebrity status with over two million Facebook followers as they combat and destroy terrorist cells in Iraq.
On November 1 they fought their way into the Gogjali quarter of the city, becoming the first Iraqi unit to enter the city during the offensive. The city is now fully under Iraqi army control .
The Iraq government and Kurdish forced began a US-backed offensive to recapture the city from the jihadist's clutches last month, with more than 480 ISIS militants killed in the past few days by Iraqi and Kurdish forces.
