Brit tourist robbed in Magaluf tracks stolen iPhone to ROMANIA – and sends crook a threatening text

Alexander Hamilton had software on his phone so when it was stolen he used it to send the thief a message in full Scottish spirit

A SCOTTISH man managed to track down his stolen phone in Romania and send the thief a message to say "I know where you live wee man".

Alexander Hamilton was on holiday in Majorca when his iPhone was swiped, but a built-in app allowed him to work out exactly where it was.

The software also lets the user send a message to the phone and Alexander sent the thief a threat.

He tweeted a photo of the message he sent, with the caption: "I love how my phone was stolen in Magaluf and its ended up in Romania I don't think they'll be using it again mind you."

He wrote to the thief and said: "I know where you live wee man, Strada Alexandru Moruzi Voievod.

"Run and hide ya sh**bag."

His was found 1,966 miles away from his UK location and his hilarious tweet has tgot more than 1,000 likes and retweets.

In July a pickpocket in Stockholm got more than he bargained for – after trying to nick a bikini-clad copper’s mobile phone.

Hilarious images show policewoman and bodybuilder Mikaela Kellner grappling with the alleged thief in the middle of a park.

And there can be no dispute about who came out on top, with the muscle-bound cop holding the man in an arm lock all while wearing a tiny bikini.

The incident took place in Ralambshovsparken in the Swedish capital.

Posted to photo-sharing app Instagram, the picture has been liked more than 6,000 times.

Last month we reported that a mum who turned detective to track down a suspected iPad thief was gobsmacked when “busy” cops told her to arrest the man herself.

Stunned Sara Graiton called the police after an app emailed her to say her iPad Air had been switched on after it was stolen.
