'YOU DON'T SAY SIDEWALK?'

Prince Harry’s ‘new flame’ Meghan Markle filmed taking Britishness quiz…and it looks like she needs some practice

Prince Harry's 'new flame' Meghan Markle was filmed taking a quiz in all things British... and walked away with a dismal score of  four out of 15.

The American actress is rumoured to be dating Britain's royal red head - with insiders suggesting engagement could even be on the cards.

But if 35-year-old Meghan - best known for her role in legal drama Suits - is planning to hop across the pond for good, she may want to line her prince up for a few revision sessions.

Earlier this year TV channel Dave gave Meghan a quiz on all things British, at the end of which the actress uttered "I think I lost, I think I was the worst".

The quiz started well as Meghan successfully identified Fursty Ferret as a type of real ale. But, from that point on the star struggled.

Next up she flew the American flag selecting Vegemite over Marmite.

Question four saw her introduced to Cockney rhyming slang and asked to translate 'apples and pears'.

Unfortunately this left a baffled Meghan muttering "I feel like I'm being taken down a rabbit hole here".

Next up the actress was asked to name the national animals of England, Wales of Scotland.

For the last question the star was asked to give the English names for chips, highway, sidewalk, trashcan, pants and costume.

Chips, trashcan and pants were successfully translated but the rest left Megan stumped as she mused "you don't say sidewalk".

Born in LA Meghan now lives in Toronto, Canada, where Suits is filmed.

Prince Harry, 32, is said to be “besotted” with the brunette beauty whose recent Instagram posts have included a pot of afternoon tea.

The romance is believed to have blossomed after the pair met in May, while the royal was in Toronto to promote his Invictus Games for disabled servicemen.

The pair both share a passion for humanitarian work, with Meghan working for several organisations including World Vision Canada and the United Nations.

She also has visited Afghanistan to support US forces and their families.
