Is Andrew Tate in hospital?

It has been reported by a Romanian news article that either Andrew Tate or his brother Tristan had been admitted to hospital.

It is suggested that the hospital visit was triggered after a routine medical check up and that they have since returned to custody.

The medic involved was informed of a pre-existing medical condition, which is thought to be the reason behind the admittance to hospital.

From his Twitter updates, it appears that the brother in question was Andrew.

What did Andrew Tate's tweet say?

On January 8, 2023, Tate posted on Twitter: "The Matrix has attacked me. But they misunderstand, you cannot kill an idea. Hard to Kill."

He posted this along with a screengrab and a link to the Romanian article.

He has frequently referenced the 1999 film The Matrix starring Keanu Reeves.

He previously claimed that "The Matrix had sent their agents" in reference to his arrest.

Despite being incarcerated, Tate's Twitter account has been extremely active.

His account includes a link to his website, next to the message "Escape the Matrix."

Controversial Tate initially gained fame after a short-lived appearance on Big Brother.

He has been banned from various social media platforms over his misogynistic views on women.

Why is Andrew Tate being held in custody?

Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested as part of a probe into human trafficking, rape, and organised crime.

Tate's partner Georgiana Naghel was also arrested, along with business partner and former police officer, Luana Radu.

They are accused of recruiting women on social media platforms and persuading them to travel to their £600,000 villa on the outskirts of Romania's capital Bucharest.

They are being held in a "hellhole" Romanian jail cell until the end of January 2023 as prosecutors announced they were being remanded in custody for 30 days.

They are expected to appeal, contesting a judge's decision to extend their arrest warrants to 30 days.
