Terror at Cambridge University college formal dinner as it is gatecrashed by a ‘killer clown’ with a MACHETE

One terrified student "thought it was the end" when the masked prankster turned up

A KILLER clown waving a plastic machete gate-crashed a posh formal dinner at Cambridge University college.

The terrifying clown shocked students when it turned up during a three-course Halloween meal at Pembroke College.

The masked prankster stood at the entrance for about 15 minutes, before it went to the top table and completed a lap of the room.

One terrified student told student newspaper : "When it got to me it started brandishing it's machete, I thought that was the end.

'Then the butler approached it and the clown did a lap of the hall before leaving."

Students were first left speechless but applauded the clown as it departed.

This was not the first prank to spoil the posh Halloween bash, according to the Tab. Last year two second-years were kicked out for coming dressed as David Cameron and a pig.

They re-enacted the former Prime Minister's infamous alleged oral sex act in Pembroke Hall, before the butler asked them to leave.

In 2014, a student dressed as Professor Quirrell from Harry Potter burst into the hall shouting 'Troll in the dungeon.'

More than 40 killer clown incidents were reported to police in Cambridge last month in a single week.

Some were armed, carrying knives, machetes and baseball bats and many of the frightening incidents took place near schools.
