Apparently healthy dad-of-one, 28, died in his sleep from heart attack from undiagnosed heart condition
Adam Bolton's fiancee found him dead on the sofa hours after he returned from a family christening
AN apparently healthy father of one died in his sleep from a heart attack at the age 28 - just hours after he returned home from a family christening, an inquest heard.
Adam Bolton was found at home by his fiancee after he fell asleep on their sofa when he got in late.
Doctors concluded the self employed plasterer had died from undiagnosed heart disease. He had low levels of alcohol in his system.
The tragedy came a week after Adam, from Rochdale, Greater Manchester, returned from holiday in Greece with fiancée Sheree Cullen and their one-year-old daughter.
He was last seen alive leaving his sister Jenny's home at 3am on May 30 after going for a night out following the christening service – leaving Sheree to babysit at home.
Sheree told an inquest in Heywood: "Adam was picked up at about 12pm on Sunday May 29 to go to the christening.
"I got a call from Adam at around 3pm that he was at the Working Men's Club and he said that he was going to stay for a couple drinks and then he would come home.
"I spoke to him again at 12pm where he said he was with his brothers and he would be home soon. The last time I spoke to him was 2am, when he said he was at his sister's home and that he would be home soon.
"I woke up at about 7am on May 30 and heard a noise downstairs. I thought it was the dogs, and when I went to the top of the stairs I saw the two dogs in their beds asleep at the bottom of the stairs.
"I heard another noise and went down where I saw Adam on the sofa. I called his name but he didn't respond. I shook him.
"He was covered with a blanket up to his face and when I moved it I noticed that his lips were blue."
