Nigel Farage will get a seat in the House of Lords if Ukip leadership contenders get their way
But the Eurosceptic stalwart does not believe he will ever be offered a peerage
NIGEL Farage will be made a Lord if the contenders to replace him as Ukip boss get their way.
But the Eurosceptic stalwart has claimed “it will never happen.”
The three frontrunners to be the next Ukip leader - Paul Nuttall, Raheem Kassam and Suzanne Evans - have all said they will seek to campaign for Lord Farage to sit on the red benches of the House of Lords if they take the crown.
Mr Nuttall told : “If Ukip are offered positions in the House of Lords, the first name on the list will be Nigel Farage.”
Ms Evans told the paper: “If Nigel wants a seat in the House of Lords, I will campaign like stink for that.”
Mr Farage announced his resignation as UKIP chief in July having achieved his a life goal of winning the Brexit vote.
