A MOTORCYCLIST filmed a heartbreaking farewell to his family as he lay covered in blood after a horror smash that killed his friend.
Kevin Diepenbrock recorded the video with his mobile phone to apologise to his family for "being stupid".
The 41-year-old was riding with his co-worker, Phillip Polito, on separate bikes when he smashed into the back of his pal after he suddenly braked.
Both were sent crashing 50ft off a steep embankment near the Tennessee-North Carolina border but Phillip sadly didn't make it.
As he lay covered in blood and dirt, Kevin filmed the heart-wrenching video after he was unable to text or call his relatives.
In it he says: "Hey everybody, I f****d up, that’s all I can really say. At about 10.30 this morning. Been laying here ever since. About 50ft down in the ravine. I just wanted to say I love you guys. Sorry I was being stupid, but you know that’s what I do."
Thankfully, the motorcyclist's cries for help for heard by a couple who had pulled over to get a drink.
