BOOKLETS warning of a Russian invasion and offering advice on how to identify tanks, bullets and mines have been distributed by the Lithuanian government.
Tens of thousands of copies of the 75-page guide - which includes extensive sections on survival techniques in the event of war - have been issued to citizens.
The booklets chillingly warn that the Russian "aggressor" would not hesitate to use military force against its neighbours and teaches people how to survive in the wild as well as spot military vehicles and weapons.
In on section, the manual says: "It is most important that the civilians are aware and have a will to resist - when these elements are strong, an aggressor has difficulties in creating an environment for military invasion."
A telephone 'spy' hotline has also been launched by the government, encouraging the population to report anyone they suspect of being a Russian spy.

"Every Lithuanian citizen can become a target" of spying, said Darius Jauniskis, the head of the state security department.
Russia's relations with its Baltic neighbours have been increasingly strained since 2014, when Putin deployed military forces to annex Crimea from Ukraine.
