HUMANS actress Emily Berrington has revealed she is afraid robots are taking over the world - and will not even use supermarket self-checkout machines.

The beauty - who plays a violent cyborg - appears to be worried machine could really stage a rebellion against mankind like in the Channel 4 drama.

She revealed she shuns self-checkouts in an interview with Helen Skelton on ITV’s Lorraine this morning.

Emily said: "I do try not to.

"If there is an option to use a real human being and to have a chat with somebody and do your shopping that way, I do try and do that.

"I worry that if you see a row of self-checkouts you think, 'That all used to be jobs and real people.'

"I am more on the side of humans than robots."

Oxford born Emily also starred in The Inbetweeners 2 and BBC series White Queen.

She plays 'synth' Niska in Humans, a co-production by Channel 4 and US network AMC about robots who get fed up with how they are treated buy society.

It stars its second series on Sunday at 9pm.
