A MAN from Preston has turned his house into a Halloween horror scene in an effort to create the scariest house in the country.

Chris Walton has spent over £20,000 on decorations that take up the front and back garden as well as his entire house.

Not a Pumpkin in sight, however Chris has turned his home on Howick Park Avenue, Preston into "Howick Cemetery" with a driveway full of gravestones that lead to a home made hearse with a real coffin that opens to music.

Gravestones and other ghoulish items can be found across the property and the house number displayed through the "cemetery" gates reads 666.

Once visitors have walked the graveyard and through cemetery doors they will find a cave of scary monsters including a operating theatre complete with table, patient and a blood soaked doctor.

Chris said he got the idea from his time working in the United States and said: "they are massive on Halloween in the US and I think slowly but surly we are catching up".
