Michelle Obama gives barnstorming speech slamming Donald Trump and warning US not to give him the ‘nuclear codes’

MICHELLE Obama has blasted Donald Trump’s temperament –warning the American public not to give the Republican candidate the nuclear codes.

The First Lady was speaking at a presidential campaign event for Hillary Clinton in battleground state North Carolina.

But before praising the Democratic Candidate, who she called her “friend”, Obama slammed loud mouth billionaire Trump.

She said: "We want a President who takes this job seriously and has the temperament and maturity to do it well.

"Someone who's steady. Someone who we can trust with the nuclear codes.

And in light of the multiple sexual assault allegations against Trump, Obama told the crowd that the US needs a leader who “values and honours women.”

She said: "What kind of President do we want?

"I think we want someone who's a unifying force in this country.

“Someone who sees our differences not as a threat but as a blessing.

"We want a President who values and honours women - who teaches our daughters and our sons that women are full and equal human beings, deserving and worthy of love and respect."

As she hugged the former First Lady Clinton, she joked: “"First ladies - we rock.”

Skilled campaigner Obama lavished praise on Clinton calling her a “policy wonk” and even claimed she had more experience than her husband and current President Barack Obama.

Meanwhile, the author who co-wrote Donald Trump’s best selling book The Art of the Deal has claimed if he is elected president he will impose martial law.

Tony Schwartz has blasted the Republican nominee claiming he will behave in a way that make Richard Nixon’s actions look like “child’s play”.

And a beauty queen has become the 14th woman to publicly accuse Trump of sexual assault.

Ex-Miss Finland Ninni Laaksonen, now 30, said he groped her bottom moments before a US TV appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman in 2006.
