A COOL-headed motorist appears to have the ultimate solution to a road-rage nut - he pulls out his handgun.
In this Facebook video, which has gone viral despite claims it might be a fake, a driver in a light-coloured car pulls up alongside the first car and starts shouting at him.
He shouts: "You stupid motherf**ker pull over." you ain't gonna do sh*t."
To begin with the first motorist gesticulates at the ranter with his middle finger. And the irate motorist says: "Do something about it, you ain't gonna do sh*t."
In the video, which many suggest is fake, the other driver then coolly points his handgun at him - and the ranter quickly shuts up and disappears out of sight in a squeal of brakes.
The camera then switches to show the calm bearded gun-owner. The video, posted by The Obnoxious Mr Robertson, is headed "think before you road rage".
The footage has been met with equal praise and criticism by Facebook followers.
Justin Sweat said: "See, this is the kind of irresponsible s*** that brings unjust criticism to responsible gun owners. I get the statement that you're trying to make, it's just an ignorant statement.
"Rule number one of responsible gun ownership: Don't pull it unless you're going to use it."
And David Lemus wrote: "If you have to pull a gun out you are automatically a bitch."
But other viewers of the clip, filmed in America where gun ownership is legal, appreciate the motive.
Ryan Reid quipped: "That guy had excellent brakes didn't he? Stopped on a dime."
Lori Boren said: "It's so funny how many jump on this.. this is stupid, you should be jailed blah blah blah. You totally miss the point to this video, it's saying be careful who you start yelling at while driving. You never know when someone has a gun and when they will use it for your hot headed driving."
To which Onboxious Mr Robertson, who many suggest staged the footage, replies: "Hey! Somebody gets it!"
Road rage in Britain is also a problem, and dashcam footage of a chase in Sutton-in Ashford, Notts, shows a driver "lost the plot" after a motorist cut him up.
