Road rage rant of motorist who snapped after fellow driver ‘cut him up and then stopped him overtaking
Ugly incident caught on dash cam after pair clashed while driving through Suttton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
THIS is the dramatic moment a road rage driver chases a motorist who cut him up before angrily confronting him in the street, screaming: “You think you’re clever?”
The dad-of-one admitted he “lost the plot” following the incident that began with a clash at a roundabout.

The motorist, who recorded the footage would only give his name as Pete after receiving threats online.
He claims footage shows the Kia driver going slowly before speeding up to prevent him from overtaking.
Frustrated Pete, a professional HGV driver, then pulled up alongside his opposite number at traffic lights and applauded, before asking: "All that way you've taken your time and now I want to pass you, you put your foot down?"
The outburst prompted his rival to put their foot down in a race scenario with tyres screeching once the lights turned green to stop Pete overtaking.
He then followed the Kia driver through Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, before jumping out of his car to grill the driver once the car had parked up.

Pete, 46, said: "I'd done a full shift of 400 miles that day driving a 44-tonne truck up to Scotland and back, so I did lose the plot a bit.
"The red mist just came down and I had a bit of a moment so I over-reacted but was that he created problems for other road users.
"I followed him for a couple of minutes while he did 25mph and I gave him plenty of space. That's fine, and I wasn't hassling or tailgating or flashing him.
"At the roundabout, he went in the right lane and that was the first opportunity to go past him. I stayed left and increased my speed.

"As we went over the roundabout he immediately sped up and cut back in front of me straight away. I thought: 'You are an idiot'.
"At the lights he was looking at me and gesturing and I just thought I'd give him a piece of my mind and say: 'Well done mate'.
"Then the lights changed. I'm driving a big 4x4 and you could actually hear his tyres squeal as he busted a gut to get in front of me, then slams the brakes on again.
"After a minute or so he went down a cul-de-sac so I followed him to confront him and tell him he drove like a prat.

"All he would say was that he was within the speed limit, but my point was that he went out of his way to stop my progressing.
"I just wanted to get home and put my feet up. He really annoyed me with his smarmy face."
Pete said the confrontation happened as he drove along Alfreton Road on Tuesday morning.
In footage recorded by his dashcam, and viewed more than 4,000 times on Facebook, he can be heard laughing as the Kia screeches past him and instantly applies the brakes.
Pete said: "I got out and we had a chat about it but I just thought he was a bit of a pillock to be honest.

"He had a clipboard in his hands, I think it was a workmen's site and he was the boss. I asked him why he drove like a prat but he just said he's done nothing wrong.
"I'm not surprised so many people have been sharing it on Facebook. I drive 2,000 miles a week for work and I see this every day.
"It's split opinion a bit and although I could have kept my cool a bit more, it did frustrate me."
