CAN YOU SPOT THE CHEEKY BONE?

Sainsbury’s customer shocked when spotting skeleton with a ‘phallic-shaped’ bone in store newsletter

The 'unfortunate' angle of the shot – and a poorly positioned hand - make the image look rude

A SAINBURY'S customer got more than he bargained for when he opened the supermarket's Halloween newsletter – to see a skeleton with a 'phallic-shaped' bone.

Jonathan Aldcroft, 36, said he 'cracked up' the moment he clicked on the email from the supermarket and spotted the suggestive image.

The snap of male and female models sporting costumes from the Sainsbury's Halloween range is posed to look like the man is jovially spooking the woman with a fake spider.

But Jonathan claims due to the 'unfortunate' angle of the shot – and a poorly positioned hand – it appears all the excitement has got the better of the skeleton.

And civil servant Jonathan, from Warrington, Cheshire, took his own photos of the email to immortalise the skeleton's VERY happy Halloween.

Jonathan said: "I get regular emails from Sainsbury's about all their different offers and sometimes I don't open them but I love Halloween so I was quite excited to see what deals they had on.

"But not as excited as the skeleton. As soon as I opened it I just thought 'Oh my god, what is that?' and then cracked up. I definitely got more than I bargained for.

";They have clearly not noticed what the angle has made his hip bone look like. It is very unfortunate and the way his hand is positioned just makes it so much worse.

"This particular skeleton is having a very happy Halloween. It is so funny it still makes me laugh now just thinking about it."

Jonathan, who lives with his partner of 10 years, shared the saucy snap with friends and family and on social media and said everyone has had a 'good giggle'.

Sainsbury's regular newsletter is sent to customers and Jonathan said he hoped they were all able to take the accidental x-ray-ted snap in good humour.

Jonathan said: "I have shown it to quite a few people and everyone has looked at it and just laughed right away.

"Not to sound too crude but because it is a bone it is perfect for making jokes.

"I really hope every customer who has seen it has taken it in good humour like I have. Even if they didn't intend to it is nice Sainsbury's is bringing a bit of joy into people's lives."

A spokesman for Sainsbury's said: "We've got a wide range of Halloween costumes – there's something for everyone to get excited about at Sainsbury's."
