A FOUR-year-old girl is in a “serious” condition after being shot with an arrow in the head.
The youngster required surgery after being rushed to hospital by air ambulance on Saturday.
The incident occurred at a house on Furness Drive, Illingworth, Halifax.
The girl remains in a serious condition following surgery on a head injury.
West Yorkshire Police were called at around 12:45pm and are now investigating the circumstances, but it is thought the girls injuries were not caused intentionally.

Detective Inspector Gary Stephenson, of Calderdale District CID, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to determine precisely how this girl has come to be injured.
“Our investigations suggest she was not intentionally injured and an 18-year-old male is assisting us with our enquiries.
“Specially trained officers are working to support her family as our investigations continue.”
