Nottinghamshire cops left with red faces after ‘missing’ man replies to their Facebook appeal

'Its called people playin games' said Shane-Andrew Thompson

COPS who posted a social media appeal to help find a “lost man” were embarrassed when he replied saying he wasn’t missing.

Nottinghamshire Police posted on Facebook asking the public to help them track down Shane-Andrew Thompson on Monday.

They voiced concern for Thompson's safety.

Thompson, who has a tracheotomy, was described as a slim, white man with black dyed hair who was last seen wearing a black jumper with dark blue jeans and black boots.

He was said to be missing from the Radford area of Nottingham.

In a reply from his 'Shaneyboi Thompson' Facebook page littered with spelling mistakes, he added: "It is people phoning the police sayin ive gne missing.

"I've already spoke to the police about it so no I aint doin nothing its called people playin games sayin im missin."

Nottinghamshire Police yesterday confirmed that Shane was safe and well, and thanking those who had shared the appeal.
