London’s Kensington High Street closed as police investigate ‘suspicious package’ found in restaurant

A LONDON high street was on lockdown after a suspicious package was found inside a popular restaurant.

Police officers cordoned off part of Kensington High Street and evacuated shops and restaurants.

It's after a bag was reportedly left inside a Prezzo.

It was later deemed not to be suspicious.

The road was closed to traffic in both directions between Queens Gate and Kensington Church Street.

It has since been reopened by police.
