Both man and girl rushed to hospital after horror fall
A MAN and two-year-old girl have suffered serious injuries after they plunged from a top floor window of a block of flats in Glasgow.
Locals heard the toddler crying after they plunged to a courtyard.
The pair were rushed to hospital following the horror incident in Govanhill, at around 12.30pm yesterday.
Zoe Higgins was stable in hospital last night. Dad John, 38, was seriously injured. It is not known if mum Victoria, 32, was at the flat.
Cops said they've launched an investigation into the incident in Calder Street.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 12.35pm on Monday, police were called to a report of a 38-year-old man and a two year-old girl having fallen from the window of a flat in Calder Street, Glasgow."

The spokeswoman continued: "They have been taken to hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.
"Hospital staff describe his condition as serious and the girl's condition is described as stable.
"Police enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident."
Neighbours saw the man clutching the girl in the fall from a window in Govanhill, Glasgow.
A neighbour said: “They are a nice couple and not the type to have police at their door.
“I heard a thud and saw the wee girl crying.”
