The winger, who played for Manchester City, Chelsea, and Queens Park Rangers in his Premier League career, avoided jail in 2013 for driving while disqualified because he didn't know he was banned.

He had missed a string of summons after his £200,000 Bentley was clocked doing 79mph on a 50mph stretch at Esher, Surrey, because they were sent to his agent's address.

Then the winger was handed a £800 fine after vowing to open all his mail even if it was junk.

Wright-Phillips' latest case for using a vehicle without a valid license was heard administratively at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court.

He was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs.

Born in Greenwich, Wright-Phillips made 153 appearances for Manchester City between 1999 and 2005, scoring 26 goals.

He moved to Chelsea for £21million where he scored 4 goals in 81 games.

In 2008 he rejoined Manchester City and scored 9 goals in 64 appearances.

Wright-Phillips, of Whitedowns, Shere Road, West Horsley, Surrey, was fined £220 and ordered to pay costs of £85, with back duty of £85, for using a vehicle without a valid licence.
