Where are Brian Draper and Torey Adamcik now?

Torey Adamcik and Brian Draper carried out the brutal attack when they were aged just 16 and both students at Pocatello High School.

Brian had spent much of his childhood in Utah but had moved with the family to Pocatello as a teenager.

A court later heard that the boys were interested in films and had been inspired by the 90s cult horror Scream before committing the murder.  The two later earned the nickname "The Scream Killers."

During police investigations into the gruesome case, cops discovered a videotape on which the boys had documented the murder.

On the day of the murder, the boys filmed Cassie Jo Stoddart placing books in her locker before planning how they would carry out the vile act.

She attended the same school and had been targeted by the boys as part of their "death list."

A clip later showed the aftermath of the pair's crime where Draper excitedly bragged about his actions.

Six days after Cassie's murder, the pair were apprehended by police having provided authorities with a wealth of evidence.

During interviews, both teens attempted to blame the other for the killing.

According to reports, Draper denied he had stabbed the teen altogether, while Adamcik insisted he had been acting under orders from his friend.

Following a trial, both teens were found guilty of murder in 2007 and received a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.

They were given an additional 30 years to life for being convicted of conspiracy to commit murder.

Adamcik and Draper have been sent to Idaho State Correctional Institution but have since been separated into different facilities.

Adamcik now serves time in Saguaro Correctional Center in Arizona, whereas Draper remains in Idaho.

What happened to Cassie Jo Stoddart?

Following the court trial, the sordid details of Cassie’s brutal murder came to light.

On September 22, 2006, Cassie invited Adamcik and Draper and her boyfriend Matt Beckham to hang out while she was house-sitting for her aunt and uncle.

After spending the evening with the couple, the two boys left but unlocked the basement door beforehand so they could return later that night to carry out their plan.

The two teens later changed into dark clothes, gloves, and white masks – emulating their favorite slasher villain - before creeping back into the property through the unlooked door.

Once inside, the pair attempted to scare Cassie and Matt by making loud noises downstairs.

The twisted pair hoped their antics would lure the couple down to the basement in a bid to frighten them.

Seeing that Cassie felt scared, boyfriend Matt called his mother to ask if he could stay the night at the house with her to ease her mind.

She denied his request but suggested that Cassie could stay with her and Matt at their home.

According to accounts, Cassie declined the offer as she felt she had a duty to mind the house and look after her aunt and uncle’s pets and remained at the property alone.

Once Matt begrudgingly left, Adamcik and Drape crept upstairs before launching an attack on the teen.

Armed with two knives, they stabbed the 16-year-old approximately 30 times - 12 of which were fatal wounds that struck the right ventricle of her heart.

Cassie was left to bleed to death, and her body wasn’t recovered until two days later.
