Incredible footage from a Ukrainian kamikaze boat drone shows moment it attacks Putin’s Black Sea flagship

THIS is the moment a Ukrainian kamikaze boat drone attacks Putin's Black Sea flagship - lighting up the night sky in a ferocious explosion.

Extraordinary onboard footage show what are thought be two explosive-packed Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USV) in action.

In James Bond-style footage, they hurtle across the water toward their targets before making devastating contact.

Video of the attack taken from the shore shows what appears to be two explosions as the USVs thunder into the hulls of the tyrant's vessels.

A blinding explosion seen for miles then suddenly lights up the night sky following the early morning strike in Sevastopol, occupied Crimea.

Mad Vlad's new flagship - a prized Project 11356R frigate named the Admiral Makarov - is believed to have been damaged in the attack.

While the Ivan Golubets Project 266M minesweeper was also struck following the 4.20am local time raid on Saturday.

Ukraine says “several Russian warships” were hit in a major attack on the port, home to President Putin's Black Sea fleet.

USV drones are propelled by a single motor with a top speed of 46mph - they can travel over 60miles with a 145lbs (65kg) payload.

Explosive detonators, believed to be attached to the front of the 12ft canoe-sized vessel, trigger an explosion of what is thought to be an onboard warhead.

While the inside is not pictured, submarine expert H.I Sutton believes “curved shaping, with external reinforcing, suggests a warhead”.

The drones were among 16-air and maritime robots that launched kamikaze missions on the Russian navy.

Russia claimed the Admiral Makarov only sustained radar damage while the minesweeper had its hull holed.

This came despite vast plumes of smoke seen rising from the water following an inferno.

Russian forces also claimed to have destroyed seven maritime drones, adding three more made it the bay before they were destroyed.

Nine air drones also rained hell on the Russian navy in the attack - but Putin's butchers claimed to have destroyed them all in the onslaught.

Deranged Putin claimed the Royal Navy were behind Saturday's attack while also accusing the Brits of blowing up the Nord Stream gas pipeline.

The Ministry of Defence dismissed the Russian tyrant’s bonkers allegation as lies on “epic scale” aimed at distracting from his failures in the Ukraine war.

It comes as another clip showed Russians forces - firing from helicopters, motor boats and ships - desperately trying to gun down a USV as it skims towards a boat.

Ukrainian special operators are known to be conducting waterborne raids in southern Ukraine.

Throughout the war, Ukrainian fighters have been using relatively cheap drones to cause havoc with Russia.

Back in March, a squad of amateur drone users claimed they managed to destroy Russia's 40-mile infamous "death convoy" of tanks and armoured vehicles in a series of ambushes.
