M&S boss revealed as a serial flasher who exposed goods to staff eight times and claimed it was just ‘banter’

A MARKS and Spencer boss was a serial flasher who exposed himself to staff eight times, a court heard yesterday.
Nigel Farrow, 51, once said he had a rash and asked staff to look.
He was arrested after his latest victim told police, and five more women came forward. Prosecutor Jonathan Devlin told Newcastle crown court: “On a number of occasions he exposed his penis and testicles.
“Once he claimed he had a rash and asked colleagues to look at it and matters of that nature. Members of staff, bearing in mind his status as, effectively, an executive officer, found it difficult if not impossible to complain.”
Farrow, an operations assistant at M&S’s Sunderland branch, excused his flashing as “banter”, but admitted he had taken it to “grossly inappropriate levels”.

Farrow, of Seaham, Co Durham, pleaded guilty to eight charges of exposure. He got a four-month suspended sentence, with supervision and 100 hours’ unpaid work.
Farrow, who lost his job, must also sign the sex offenders register for seven years.
His lawyer, Lee Fish, said: “It was grossly inappropriate banter. He is not a sexual predator. He simply did not fully appreciate what was acceptable behaviour.”
