Shocking video shows couple passed out in car after drifting across lanes of traffic following ‘heroin overdose’
Disturbing clip is the latest overdose video to emerge from Ohio which is experiencing a drug epidemic
A HARROWING video showing two heroin addicts unconscious in their car has went viral – after their vehicle reportedly drifted through traffic before coming to a stop.
Filmed in the US state of Ohio – which is experiencing a drug epidemic – the shocking footage shows Taylor Swartzlander, 24, and Haley Kirkendall, 22, passed out in their car after an alleged overdose.

Shot by West Toledo local Tyler Rieger, needles can also be seen scattered around the car.
According to witnesses, the automobile reportedly drifted diagonally across traffic lanes before mounting a curb and coming to a halt in a fast-food restaurant’s parking lot.
The tragic pair were treated at the scene by medics and taken to hospital.

Both addicts, including young mother Kirkendall, have now been released.
In the video, cameraman Rieger speaks to the camera, saying: “You see those needles, you see what heroin does to you?”
The short clip has been viewed nearly 300,000 times since being uploaded to Facebook.
Speaking with the , Rieger revealed his astonishment at the overwhelming reaction of the footage.

He said: “I took the video because I wanted to show a couple people - not a quarter-million people.
“This is what people are doing in our community in broad daylight and show the power of heroin.
“A lot of friends I grew up with did it, I’ve lost friends to heroin.
“I had no intentions of making these people embarrassed; everybody has a heart.”
Swartzlander has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving and driving while intoxicated.

On Wednesday, he insisted he feels lucky to be alive after the overdose.
He said: “I’m grateful I’m still alive for my family.”
The addict also said he hoped the video would serve as a warning to the dangers of drug use.
Kirkendall was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
On her Facebook page it states that she studied Criminal Justice at Northwest State Community College.
Last month, Ohio cops released harrowing photos of a couple passed out in their car with a child in the back to show the devastating effects of heroin addiction.
Police posted the pictures on Facebook after the pair were pulled over when the man, James Acord, was spotted driving erratically.
