SLITHERY PASSENGER

Man discovers snake joyriding in his car when it slithers out of the bonnet while he is driving

The six-foot long serpent had hitched a ride in the car in Clearwater, Florida

A MAN discovered he was carrying a slithery passenger when a snake crawled out from under the bonnet of hus car while he was driving along the road.
Tim Mokwa discovered his unwelcome joyrider when he was driving in Clearwater, Florida on Monday.

Sitting in rush hour traffic the six-foot long black snake emerged from beneath the bonnet of his Hyundai Sonata.
Mokwa immediately pulled into a car park - however instead of panicking he started filming the serpent as it slithered over the hood.
He told WFLA: "I did close my AC vents. I was like, 'I do not want it to sneak in this car."

He added: "We used to catch snakes on purpose.
"It used to be a contest, who could catch the most snakes in one day when we were kids."
Mokwa had spent the weekend kayaking in Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.
He said he thought the snake slithered into his car sometime during return home: "Snakes come natural in Florida just like rain in the summertime. I'm just glad it wasn't poisonous."
